Description
Pomegranate fruits are found growing in various parts of the Maltese islands. The fruit has a hard skin, but once cracked, it contains ruby red beads containing juice. The fruit comes in season in autumn. Our delicious conserve is made by bursting all the seeds and heating the mixture with apples and dates into syrup. The pomegranate is said to have many health benefits as it is a rich source of Vitamin C, A and E and is high in folic acid.
